Chasing Jon is a story about self-acceptance. In it, small town country music star, Alicia Bennett (32), struggles to regain her former life and complete her breakthrough album after suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury. By showing the everyday challenges experienced globally by victims of this often ‘invisible’ disability, Chasing Jon follows a cast of quirky Australian characters as it examines the real life struggles faced by Alicia and those closest to her, set against a backdrop of red dirt, 4WDs and a soundtrack of independent country music.
